BUILDING AN EFFECTIVE COMPLIANCE STRATEGY FOR SMALL TO MID-SIZED ARM COMPANIES
Phillip W. Duff, Founder & President, LIGHTHOUSE CONSULTING @PWDUFF
Michael Thurman, Partner, LOEB & LOEB LLP @CPD_ATTORNEY
Regardless of their size, all ARM companies are required to create and implement appropriate policies and procedures and be able to measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of these policies and procedures in their business. While larger companies typically have substantial personnel and capital resources to implement policies and procedures, many times, small to medium sized firms struggle to effectively comply with the myriad regulations being continuously being imposed upon them.
In this session, the panelists will discuss the need to employ an integrated approach to developing and maintaining policies and procedures that assess and respond to operational risks, information security risks and the new regulatory requirements imposed by the CFPB, FTC and other regulators.
Attendees will learn how to assess the current state of their organizationís compliance, better understand how to develop and implement a comprehensive set of policies and procedures appropriate for small to medium sized companies, and learn to develop and implement testing and validation practices necessary to achieve and demonstrate compliance.
