SVP and Executive Director, Card Policy Council, American Bankers Association
Jess Sharp is senior vice president and executive director of the American Bankers Association’s Card Policy Council.
Prior to joining ABA, Sharp was managing director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness where he focused on derivatives regulation and consumer financial protection.
Sharp spent the first 11 years of his career in government service, first on Capitol Hill with the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and then on President George W. Bush’s Domestic Policy Council as a specialist in transportation and labor policy issues, and later as deputy assistant to the President for domestic policy.
He has a B.A. in history from Colgate University and an M.A. in government from Johns Hopkins University.
