Gretchen Ganc

VP, Customer Analytics, Insights & Strategy, JCPenney


Gretchen Ganc is the Vice President of Customer Analytics, Insights and Strategy for JCPenney. She is responsible for leading the Company in analyzing and driving customer insights as well as identifying customer strategies.

Joining JCPenney in 2015, Gretchen has a strong background in strategic planning and identifying and developing new platforms for growth as well as evaluating market dynamics.

Previously, Gretchen was a Vice President at Fossil Group. While  there she led the omnichannel strategy aimed at delivering an engaging customer experience across many touch points. Prior to that, she worked at JCPenney from 2007 to 2013 in roles of increasing responsibility, including Director of Corporate Strategy,  Divisional Vice President of Digital Ventures and Divisional Vice President of Technology Transformation. Earlier in her career, Gretchen was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company and an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Dartmouth College.
